National, local vaccination experts to advise area parents

Mequon, Wis. — With flu season fast approaching and a new H1N1 (swine flu) vaccine being made available this fall, parents and pregnant women are eagerly sifting through conflicting information about how and when to vaccinate. To help area parents and expectant mothers make informed, science-based decisions about vaccinations for their children, Columbia Center is hosting a free public forum. The event features nationally recognized vaccination expert Dr. Gary S. Marshall, author of “The Vaccine Handbook: A Practical Guide for Clinicians.”

  • What: “Children and Vaccines: Addressing Parents’ Concerns”
    • Gary S. Marshall, MD, nationally known pediatric infectious disease specialist and author. He is Chief of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Louisville School of Medicine 
    • Dan Hagerman, MD, locally respected pediatrician at Cedar Mills Medical Group and chair of the Section on Pediatrics at Columbia Center.
