Columbia Center nominates Cedarburg pediatrician for prestigious national honor

Mequon, Wis. — Columbia Center has nominated Dr. Daniel Hagerman of the Cedar Mills Medical Group in Cedarburg for a prestigious national honor sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

The AAP “Pediatric Heroes” award recognizes pediatricians and other health care providers who have made significant improvements in the health and wellbeing of infants, children, adolescents and/or young adults, and have provided exemplary care affecting patients, parents and their communities.

“Dr. Hagerman stands out, not only as a great pediatrician, but also as an educator,” says Candy Casey, Columbia Center CEO. “He invests significant personal time and energy in educating parents, serving as frequent speaker and author for our hospital’s parent education program and materials, as well as making himself available to the parents of his patients.”

Dr. Hagerman has been recognized with numerous awards as an outstanding pediatrician (2007 & 2008 Best Doctors in Southeastern Wisconsin; 2008 Milwaukee’s Top Doctors) and is highly respected by patients, colleagues and hospital staff, Casey adds. He has received three very prestigious teaching awards during his 15 years of teaching medical students at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
