This class, for children 3- to 10-years-old, will introduce them to Columbia Center and help prepare for the new baby.

The arrival of a new baby creates mixed feelings for all members of the family, including children. You and your 3- to 10-year-old child will be given a tour of Columbia Center. Your child will see where mother will stay and can look forward to returning soon to visit mother and new baby after the birth. The film “Hey, What About Me?” is shown, which features:

• Ways your child can prepare for the new baby
• Some of the feelings children may experience when a new baby arrives
• Simple infant care tasks
• Fun things to do with an infant
• The importance of parental supervision when helping with the new baby

You will enjoy a snack during the class and help your child make a gift for the new baby.  At the end of class, a a certificate is given to celebrate your child's readiness to become a Big Brother or Sister!
