The Big Book of Recipes for Babies, Toddlers and Children
by Bridget Wardley and Judy More

(Reviewed by Columbia Center's Ann Grauer)

This incredibly fun to look at book is filled with great ideas for everything from first solid food for babies all the way to meal and snack planning for a family with a 6 year old. Each recipe is easy and has a symbol for vegetarian, gluten-free, good source of calcium, etc. There is a section on meal planning for your whole family as well as a great article on having your children help you prepare meals. Each recipe even has a guide on how it will store in the fridge or freezer.

The photos are eye-catching and appetite-inspiring and I especially love how the authors, both pediatric dieticians, approach food as a source of fun and social time as well as fuel for the body. This spiral bound book will sit nicely on your kitchen counter as you follow along. And won't it be fun to look at preparing foods for your little one that you might enjoy, too!
