Recently I was sent information about a new app for the iPhone that was supposed to be so fabulous that it would replace childbirth classes. I bought the app for $4.99 and put it on my phone to see what all the fuss was about (anyone who knows me is aware of my addiction to my iPhone). There are lists of affirmations and ideas of things to try in labor and a section of lists of prenatal nutrition. And there is an interesting section of videos. I do think that anything we can do to make information more accessible to families is good, but I don't think I'm in danger of being replaced as a family educator any time soon.
